Volunteer: Mission Valley Garden Club - POTLUCK & CHILL - Saturday, 7/4/2026

Meet Neighbors  ~   Learn  ~   Help Grow a Neighborhood Garden

Mission Valley Garden Club's meeting on Saturday 7/4/26 is a unique one! We are hosting a special July 4th potluck, this is a time where you can check out what Garden Club does and ask our members directly any plant questions you might have. If you're a returning Garden Club member, bring a friend to join in on the fun and get some much needed rest on what is going to most certainly be a warm day. If you feel inclined, please bring a potluck dish to share. This can be anything from savory to sweet, our goal is to provide various fun snacks and a chance for members to show off their culinary skills (bonus points if you grew your shareable snack).

About Mission Valley Garden Club: This wonderful volunteer group is a great way to meet fellow neighbors, help grow a garden, and learn about native plants. Dig in and join the fun to help plant native plants, weed, water, mulch, and maintain our native seed library. If you have a passion for caring for native plants and/or creating pollinator gardens or want to learn how, or simply want to make a difference in nature with others, then the Mission Valley Garden Club is for you! No experience is necessary! Stay tuned for exciting educational talks with native plant experts at Mission Valley Garden Club events!

About Grant Park: This new nature education center and eco-park in the heart of Mission Valley offers free STEM and environmental learning for underserved students and engaging nature programs for all ages—serving as a vibrant beacon of green space along the San Diego River for the entire community!

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals wanting to learn more about gardening and impact their community in a meaningful way.
