Looking for a volunteer opportunity that allows you to support a healthy river in a hands-on way while interacting with a group of like-minded people? Our River Rescue team works diligently to remove an average of 2,000 pounds out of the riverbed at every clean-up, and over 200,000 pounds removed last year!
Every Wednesday and Saturday our River Rescue team does just that! This Saturday, we are looking for additional support for our River Rescue team to clean the river after the recent rains.
Location: DFW (Department of Fish and Wildlife) property along the San Diego River in Grantville. This unique property is typically off-limits to the public, but we have the wonderful opportunity to help clean-up this migration corridor that helps contribute to San Diego's vast biodiversity.
Park + Meet: Please park in the Home Depot Parking lot and meet us at the western end of the lot, nearest the Garden Center and large brick wall. Address is 5920 Fairmount Ave, San Diego, CA 92120.
