If you care about the environment and don't mind getting a little dirty, then this may be the perfect fit for you!
Join us on June 11th from 8am - 11am at Grant Park for a Community River Clean-up! Come work outdoors with like-minded members of the community to help remove thousands of pounds of trash in just three hours and help create a beacon of green space in the heart of Mission Valley!
Each year, San Diego River Park Foundation volunteers remove more than 200,000 pounds of trash from our namesake waterway. Without our amazing volunteers, this trash would be left to pollute native animal habitats, parks and public spaces, leach contaminants into the water, and wash out into our ocean and beaches!
IMPORTANT: This is an 18+ volunteer event. We will be targeting a specific site known to have many heavy, special-removal items - come prepared to work hard!
Park + Meet: Lot east of CalSTRS building, address is 9095 Rio San Diego Dr. Park, under 805 overpass. Entrance to the site is through the rabbit hole.
