Volunteer: Grant Park Community Stewards - Thursday, 12/11/2025Get outside, connect with an amazing community, and help bring a new eco-park to life! Join us for a fun and fulfilling morning at Grant Park, where you’ll connect with others, enjoy the fresh air, and make a real difference. This future nature education center and eco-park will provide free STEM and environmental learning experiences to thousands of underserved students per year! Help create a beacon of green space in the heart of Mission Valley by joining your community in vegetation removal and weeding, trash pick-up, graffiti removal, and occasional planting. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a flexible schedule to contribute 2 hours of service. Events are held every Thursday from 8 AM to 10 AM. Dig in and join the fun to help plant native plants, weed, water, mulch, and maintain our native seed library. You'll feel a sense of accomplishment knowing you're helping create important wildlife habitat and a vibrant green space for students and the community in the heart of our city. If you have a passion for caring for native plants and/or creating pollinator gardens or want to learn how, or simply want to make a difference in nature with others, then the Mission Valley Garden Club is for you! No experience is necessary! Stay tuned for exciting educational talks with native plant experts at Mission Valley Garden Club events!
