
Please join the San Diego River Park Foundation for an evening adventure to listen and look for bats as we walk along Peutz Creek. We will learn about bats and monitor their echolocation calls using bioacoustics. We will also set up a UV light to attract and observe moths. All ages welcome! The event will take place at Peutz Creek Preserve near Alpine.
Please bring a flashlight or headlamp and wear long pants and close toed shoes.

Here are a few tips to help you prepare for the event:
- Bring at least one smartphone or camera per group
- Check-In: 6:45 PM, meet at the open parking area near the fruit trees
- Attire: Long pants and closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended
- Other Items to Bring: Reusable water bottle, hat, other forms of sun protection
- Weather: Light rain will not cancel the event
- For safety reasons, no pets are allowed at this event
- There are no restroom facilities at this location
- Family friendly!
- Please note: You will loss cell service once you leave I-8 freeway onto Peutz Valley Road.
