Come celebrate River Days and join us for a wonderful sunset gardening experience at the beautiful Point Loma Native Plant Garden in Ocean Beach!
Join us for a peaceful evening in the garden as we help trim and care for its impressive collection of native and rare plants. Enjoy the sights and scents of spring blooms, connect with fellow nature lovers, and make a meaningful impact for the San Diego watershed. By caring for native plants, you help pollinators thrive and support a healthier, more biodiverse, and climate-resilient ecosystem. We hope to see you there!
About The Point Loma Native Plant Garden: It is a hidden gem that features many rare and endangered native plant species that are found along the San Diego River. Some of the plants in the collection are not found naturally anywhere else in the world but in our region. Located just uphill from the San Diego River estuary, the garden is part of the City of San Diego's Collier Park West between Ocean Beach and Point Loma. This garden also features a native plant nursery where we nurture seedlings grown from seed and cuttings harvested on site.
River Days is our annual 9-day celebration of the San Diego River! SDRPF and an estimated 20 partners host fun nature outings, volunteer opportunities, art activities, bike rides, hikes, and much more along all 52 miles of the river.
The celebration kicks off with the 5K Walk for Wildlife and Fun Run on May 9th. JOIN US! To see the full River Days schedule, click here.
