Looking for a fun beautification project to impact your local community, while spending some time along the beautiful San Diego River? Look no further, as the SDRPF Garden Club is always looking for community members to help us with some native plant landscaping at various locations along our namesake waterway.
This Sunday, December 4th, from 9:00am-11:00am, the Garden Club will be revamping the beloved Cottonwood Grove area in Mission Valley Preserve. Cottonwood Grove is a small section of the preserve just south of the river, and west of Sefton Baseball Fields, along the San Diego River Bikeway. Activities may include: weeding, light trail maintenance, painting signs, plant identification education, and more!
This event will be guided by SDRPF staff as well as volunteer led and all tools will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty. Sun protection and a reusable water bottle are a good idea too! You're welcome to bring your own gloves, but it is not required. Please arrive by 8:45am for check-in. Family friendly!
This event is sponsored by our wonderful partner, Takeda!

It’s at the far side of the ball fields. Drive on the side of the fields farthest from the freeway (keep to the right/north side of the fields). Park in the dirt behind the backstop just as the road bends to wind back toward the entrance.
