Join us and our partner Traveling Miss T for a fun New Year's planting event and make a positive impact for the River Mouth Gardens!
Enjoy making a difference for the New Year with a community of like-minded volunteers for working to care for our River Mouth Gardens. By planting native plants, you’ll directly support the return of native pollinators and wildlife, prevent erosion, and improve water quality.
Together, we will create a healthier, more accessible natural space for the entire community to enjoy. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow nature lovers and make a meaningful difference for nature in the New Year. We’d love to see you there!
What to Expect: Be prepared to get dirty. All necessary tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own gloves or safety glasses if preferred. A light breakfast will be provided!
Who Would Be Perfect for the Team: We welcome individuals from all walks of life! Retired folks can use their time and experience to contribute to the environment, while students seeking hands-on experience in habitat restoration can gain valuable knowledge and skills. Families are also encouraged to participate, as our activities are a great way to bond and instill a sense of stewardship for the natural world in children. If you are passionate about making a difference and want to help restore the San Diego River, you would be an ideal fit for our team.
Please note: The meeting location is NEAR the address listed. We will meet at the small grassy area between the main parking lot, the San Diego River Bikeway, and Ocean Villa Inn.
Here are a few tips to help you prepare for the event:

- Items to Bring: Reusable water bottle and hat
