We are in the invasive removal season at Fashion Valley with team IMPACT. Please join us to help remove non-native invasive species from the lower San Diego watershed adjacent to the Fashion Valley Mall. We will work as a team to remove a variety of invasive plant species including giant reed (Arundo donax), Brazilian pepper, castor bean, eucalyptus, Mexican fan palm, and canary island date palm. This is a huge effort and any support you can provide is much appreciated. Many hands make light work!
What to expect: Many of these invasive plant species are large trees and require both cutting and hauling of big limbs. We will get dirty. Please wear a hat and sunscreen, long sleeves, long pants and sturdy close-toed shoes. All tools will be provided. If you prefer your own gloves or safety glasses please bring them. Please bring plenty of drinking water and snacks.
Please note: The meeting location is NEAR the address listed. Exact meeting location is at the lower level of the Bloomingdale's Parking Structure, and can be found HERE. This will be emailed to you upon sign-up (including alternate meeting locations in case of inclement weather).
