Calling all hands! When graffiti impacts our community murals along the river, the Art Response Team is here to fix it! Join us in helping restore our most recent community mural project that over 100 volunteers created during Earth Day weekend in April, 2023, designed by local artist Helen T Kim. Our mural is location in San Diego River's 52-acre hidden gem, Mission Valley Preserve, in a small shaded area called Cottonwood Grove along the San Diego River Bikeway. The event will be led by San Diego River Park Foundation staff and volunteers, and the activities will include cleaning the mural with brushes, painting new designs, filling in the background as well as repainting a bench in Cottonwood Grove.
We are looking for volunteers, artists, families, friends, coworkers, clubs, classes, groups, and YOU help us restore our awesome Cottonwood Grove mural. Come for an hour or spend the entire morning with us!
