Learn how to collect essential species information by documenting plants and animals using the iNaturalist app on your smartphone. Your data collection will make a big difference by contributing to local and statewide conservation efforts!
Here are a few tips to help you prepare for the event:
- Bring one smartphone or camera per group
- Familiarize yourself with the iNaturalist app: Watch this video
- Check-In: 7:45 AM, meet on the grass between the parking lot, the San Diego River Bikeway, and Ocean Villa Inn
- Attire: Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required
- Other Items to Bring: Reusable water bottle, hat, other forms of sun protection
- Weather: Light rain will not cancel the event
- For safety reasons, no pets are allowed at this event
- There are restroom facilities at this location
