Looking for a fun beautification project to impact your local community? Look no further, as our lovely River Mouth native plant garden at the river estuary is blooming with projects! Just as we assist the City of San Diego in managing the Point Loma Native Plant Garden, the River Mouth Garden in OB is a great way to familiarize and learn about native plants and their habitats. Activities may include invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, plant sign installation, mulching, and more! The garden and river mouth are also open for tours at this time. These events will be guided by SDRPF staff and all tools will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get a little dirty. Sun protection and a reusable water bottle are a good idea too! You're welcome to bring your own gloves, but it is not required. Events take place 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month from 9:00am - 11:00am unless otherwise stated. Please arrive by 8:45am for check-in. Family friendly!
Parking is available in the Dog Beach Parking lot, 5156 W Point Loma Blvd 92107. Parking lot may be crowded Sunday morning, but there is additional parking just down the street in a dirt lot. You can park in this lot, and walk West along the bike path until you see the garden and our San Diego River Park Foundation tent. Look forward to seeing you then!
